A damn silly question by a computer illiterate. 22nd May '09 6:56 PM
Right, that's anticipated and, hopefully, deflected the obvious knee jerk reaction from all you nerds (sorry, I mean all you young/youngish cyber wizards); now the question: how can I change my password, specifically how can I jettison the eight digit, easily forgettable combination of numbers and letters allotted to me by the High Authority of Visarus for a codeword of my own choosing. I've been a very infrequent contributor to this forum for two or three years and, although I won't have the face to claim that I'd have been a much more diligent and frequent correspondent if my defective memory had not only failed to supply me with the necessary digits but had also refused to disclose the whereabouts of the loose page of my address book containing the required information when I've had the urge to enlighten you with my pearls of wisdom, I will say that there have been several occasions when I've postponed the message until I could find the password, only to forget the message after the truant code had been recovered. |

Many thanks mememe. I've followed your instructions and all seems to be well. By the way, the three day delay between your prompt and helpful reply and this note was due to my having, yet again, lost the page on which I'd noted the old password (my wife handed it to me this evening with a barbed comment about people who are "совсем беспорядечные". ) I have no doubt I'll often incur that rebuke again but not, дай Бог! because of a forgotten password. |

As we are meant to say in the good ole U of K, Larry (which I never did, btw) - "You're welcome!" |
